Farming community
I have a genuine interest in supporting and promoting mental health and wellbeing in the farming community. Being a farmers daughter and growing up on a working farm I understand the stresses and challenges that farming life and the farming calendar brings.
Issues such as loss, isolation, illness, disability, financial and environmental issues can take all it’s toll and build up. You may find it difficult to take time off to talk or show how it’s affecting you.
How does it work?
I understand that it is not always easy for you to leave the farm to talk about how you are feeling and will bring the counselling to you. Be it walking around the farm or in the house, wherever you feel comfortable.
Each session is £40 per hour.
Steps we take.
There is still some stigma to mental health and opening up, although this is changing, farming remains one of the highest occupations for suicide.
I can provide a non-judgemental empathic support for you.
